Our vision and core purpose are deeply centred upon the individual child at Southfield and we strive to provide an exciting and stimulating curriculum punctuated by strong standards and creativity. Developing children’s interests and talents and equipping them with strong literate and mathematical skills is a core aim. Music and the performing arts are richly encouraged in the school and the international dimension to our curriculum provides children with cultural understanding and knowledge. Healthy living, PE and opportunities to develop computing skills are also essential.
Our children’s voice is important to us and we have an active school council who are a joy to work with and who regularly impact decisions regarding playgrounds, school meals and our School Development Plan.
Our community and familial ethos is a key aspect of our school; we aim to develop children’s talents and skills in order to become the best people they can; we encourage them to become kind, empathetic and active members of society so they can play a positive role in the future.
