Classes across the school took part in some fundraising events last term as part of their PSHE work. Lots of money was raised, the children learnt about different ways to give to charity and had some fun too. Year 1 donated items to a charity shop on Chiswick High Road – another way to help a good cause.
Through participating a fun filled colour run alongside the other Year 5 and Year 6 classes, 5R have raised £527.45 for their chosen charity ‘Sense’. Sense is a charity that supports people living with complex disabilities, and those that are deaf and blind and who often find it challenging to communicate, access information and take part in life. Their support makes it possible for every person to make sense of their world and the world around them, no matter how complex their disabilities.
2R raised an amazing £646, and still counting, for Water Aid. The money will go towards helping more people have access to clean water.
3G carried out a Singathon and raised £514.80 and 4G did a sponsored run for Comic Relief and raised £315.
Well done to all classes – we are very proud of you all!
